Spartanburg, SC
When the City of Spartanburg chose to remodel and modernize its historic air terminal (the Spartanburg Downtown Airport was the first commercial airport in South Carolina), the board of the Noble Tree Foundation chose to complement the beautification efforts outside of the building by creating an allée of trees. The Foundation funded the purchase of the trees and their installation and dedicated the entryway into the new airport complex by naming it to honor its founder, Roger Milliken.
